About Us
Welcome to Budehaven ARB.
ARB stands for Area Resource Base and is a specialist facility catering for children who have complex or multiple learning needs or disabilities, preventing them from attending a full-time mainstream education. Each ARB student also has an Education and Health Care Plan which clearly specifies the individual child’s special educational needs, desired outcomes, and the special educational provision to help the child achieve their goals.
All students are primarily educated within the ARB, whilst others spend a percentage of their time accessing supported provision within the mainstream.
Budehaven ARB is set within the lovely town of Bude, where the beach is only a short walk away.
An application for a placement within the ARB is coordinated by the SEN team at County Hall, Truro. Applications for ARB specialist provision are made by the Primary School SENCo during the Year 5 Annual Review process.
